Pet Portraiture: Danielle and Joel

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Danielle and Joel, and their three gorgeous dogs. I always thought my two dogs were the most spoiled dogs in Johannesburg, however these three are a close second, and there was no shortage of doggy kisses during our shoot!

This shoot was special to me, because Benoit, the Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, is the biological brother to my Jaime. Additionally, in December Danielle’s house was robbed and the burglars left the door and gate open. Benoit got out and the 6-month-old puppy was missing for 72 hours. Through the Cavalier network using social media and radio, an animal psychic in Cape Town contacted Danielle and helped get Benoit home to his family.

The images were shot with a Canon 5D Mark III and 24-105mm and 70-200mm lenses. Special thanks to Angie Knotze for the beautiful make-up, and my husband Julian for holding the reflector!

These are such great pics! I can see they’re as besotted about their fur kids as you and Jules are…

Miss you all love and kisses!
