Playtime with my Macro Lens in a Wintery Landscape

In August this year, Julian, Dexter and I went to our favourite pet friendly lodge, Komati Gorge, close to Dullstroom. We went there last year, and everything I shot I used my Canon 85mm f/1.8 and used a grungy arty treatment.

This time I decided to only use my Tamron 90mm f2.8 macro lens and go for a cleaner treatment. Below is a selection of my favourite images.

All images are available for purchase.

These are awesome, Rikki. People who say winter is drab haven’t really looked at nature and the beautiful colours of winter.

I fully agree and furthermore, you make me jealous. Such simple subject matter but the attention to detail, composition, as well as the captured colours make them look truly spectacular. Or could it be just the lens ???? Eh,… eh,… eh,… Only kidding.! Well done and keep it up.
