Product Review: Canon EF f/1.8 USM Lens

I’ve been wanting a shiny new portrait lens, so last week I treated myself to the Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Lens!

The Canon EF (Electronic Focus) 85mm f/1.8 USM (Ultrasonic Motor) Lens is great value for money, small, lightweight, a fast lens, and the quality it produces is simply magical. It’s pretty sharp at f/1.8 but the lens really excels from f/2.8.

I tested it out this weekend with my usual model, Munchkin the cat ;-) Since I wanted to test the lens at its extreme, these images were shot at f/1.8
