Saturday 22 January 2011 was the second Photo Walk hosted by PhotoComment, and this time we walked the streets of Pretoria central. Due to the wet weather, photographing outdoors was a bit of a challenge, but we quickly got used to shooting through the open end of a zip-lock bag!
Pretoria central is a rather dull environment, so it took me a while to get my head around the subject matter and find the beauty in it. Photo Walks like this are great because they challenge you creatively, and forces you into taking photographs that you usually won’t look twice at.
PhotoComment hosts Photo Walks on a monthly basis. If you’re interested in joining us, the Walks are free and super informative. Read about upcoming Walks on the PhotoComment blog.
Here are a few of the photos I took that rainy morning…

Love your pictures – you’re very talented! Look forward to you next walk.
Thanks Monica! We try to do these once a month, so stay tuned for the next Photo Walk update.
So glad you posted these. I love to see all the different views the photographers capture at the same walk. You captured the eclectic irony of Pretoria central so well and professionally. You show off the best of our country with your thoughtful eye.
Thanks Candice, what a beautiful review! :-)
