Adding a vignette to your image can help draw the viewers’ attention to the middle of the frame, while also creating a sense of nostalgia. This technique is really easy, and only basic Photoshop knowledge is required.

Step 1:

Open your image in Photoshop.

Step 2:

Select the Elliptical Marquee Tool. Click on the top left corner of your image, and drag your mouse to the bottom right corner before releasing the mouse button.

Step3:

Click Select, Modify, and then Feather. In the pop up box, type in 200 pixels as the Feather Radius.

Step 4:

Click Image, Adjustments and then Levels. In the pop up box, use the sliders to darken the selection until you are happy with the result, and click OK.

Step 5:

Press Command D (Mac) / Control D (PC) to deselect, and then save your image.
