Those of you who know me personally, will know that I am absolutely besotted with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Dexter. Well, the exciting news is that Dexter is getting a little brother next weekend!
The new puppy is also a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and is tentatively called Spencer, but we’re open to suggestions! We’d like the name to either be something regal, or to work with Dexter. So far our options are:
Spencer | Bentley | Dudley
Please post your name suggestion as a comment below! The chosen name will be posted below by the end of August, once we see which name will suit his personality best.

I vote for Spencer. Go with your gut feeling, although I will add that Fletcher is more easily abbreviated.
Thanks Dagmar! We love Spencer. Dexter gets abbreviated to Dexie, and I think Spencer wold end up being abbreviated to Spencie… Dexie and Spencie… hmmm?

He’s always been Spencer, but what about a name that can’t be shortenend like -
Beau – as he’s so handsome – you could Anglicise it to Bo.
Or Jem for his Gran
Ray – as he’ll be your little ray of sunshine.
…but I do like Spencer.

Thanks Angie! Chances are that we’ll stick with Spencer, although Julian really loves Bentley. Wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts, but so far it seems that Spencer is the winning name ;-)

How about Reginald (when he’s naughty) which will surely be ‘Reggie’ when he’s adorable most of the time!

I don’t like Spencer it’s too close to Dexter. Give a name that is totally different in sound suggest Max (maximilli) or Socrates or maybe Wellington
I think he’s a Kodiac/Kody =) Or Sir Winston/Winnie…but definitely NO on the Spencer!
We decided against Spencer, because when calling him, Dexter would come. Right now we are seriously considering Jaime
Just to let you all know, we decided to call him Jaime (Jamie) because Dexter and Spencer sounded too similar and the doggies were getting confused!
