How to Photograph Bottles in a Light Tent

Photographing bottles can be a photographer’s worst nightmare – the glass bottles reflects everything around it. Shooting in a light tent is not the best way to photograph bottles, but it will give you a far more pleasing result than shooting without a light tent.

I used three Elinchrom studio lights to light the bottle through the light tent. This produces a clean look, and helped to separate the bottle from the background.

A light tent is also great for photographing pack shots, jewellery, or any reflective product.
